In general, the higher a chain rotation system and lower the utility space thus lower the costs of purchase. At the company SKG Goessl in Murrhardt, a rotating part supplier for the electrical industry, it lacked any architectural requirement.
They were looking for a dynamic stockholding and delivery system in which they could quickly store and extract from. Optimizing the ways to immediate processing was another important demand. The company mainly stores bar stocks, more accurate round steel materials.
Now, our designers and engineers were in demand. The existing buildings were not eligible for the required storing. However, the company building is on a slope and has a basement under the entire production facility. The basement itself presented a challenge to our engineers because of its limited ceiling hight of only 3.5 meters, but they developed a storage and delivery system that is also adapting these circumstances.
The dimensions of our basement system for SKG Goessl are 22 m in depth, 5 m in width and 3.5 m in height. The stockage takes place in 64 identical housings with a total load of more than 83.000 kg. Each of these pods can be set in several, even different compartment sizes.
The material access can be controlled via housing or material identification number. The storage has two sampling stations, one in the production hall, the other in the basement. The storage itself takes place at a third station in the upstream complex of buildings with a forklift.
You see, even basements are not safe from us. We draw from all the possibilities for you.
